Oregon Coast Low Income Housing

If you find yourself in search of a low income, rent based, or other subsidized apartment on the Oregon Coast, you'll actually be quite surprised about the amount of these types of apartments that are available. I know I certainly was.

You'll find information below about the status of waiting lists, as time goes by, that information is going to become dated. So if you see that a community had no waiting list 6 months ago when it was updated, it's very likely that the property still offers low income apartments, but probably unlikely that the waiting list remains unchanged. Give them a call, and ask them how long their waiting list is. . . THEN, leave a comment for each community you call.. note who you spoke to, and how long the CURRENT waiting list is.

Then we'll all know, and maybe, just maybe, we'll help each other navigate what can be a pretty confusing housing system, and save a little time in the process.

I live in Tillamook County, so that's the first county I really delved into. If you have questions about a property in Tillamook County, feel free to ask. If I'm not busy, I might even be able to go and snap a few photo's for you.

I've also delved into Lincoln County, and will be making my way through Oregon slowly but surely. If you have a question about how a program works, feel free to ask that as well, and I'll see what I can do to get that question into the hands of the person in the know. :D
